What does the Reaper serve with BBQ? Reaper slaw, of course!
This slaw complements your BBQ while adding a fiery kick to top it off. Don’t let it fool you: creamy, tangy, and sweet, it seems harmless at first, but then the heat sneaks up on you and reminds you what’s in it.
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp dill
- 1 Carolina Reaper
- Grind the Reaper into a fine powder and shake through a fine mesh strainer to remove large chunks.
- Whisk together all of the ingredients in a bowl.
- Add to your favorite cole slaw base – for this we just used chopped cabbage and grated carrots.
