Spring has arrived, time to plant, right?
Not so fast! Looks like Nature has other plans.
I was planning to start plant-out of our seedlings this past weekend. They’re still under the grow-lights in the starter packs, yearning for some real sun. But it’s not wise to just plant before checking the forecast, and it looks like we still have some cold nights ahead.
Some plants don’t mind a little light frost, but hot peppers and frost do not get along well. And newly transplanted hot peppers, well, let’s just say I didn’t like the idea of a total crop loss before the season even got started!
So, waiting another week, and watching the forecast closely. Hopefully we’ll be past the frost and able to get started next weekend.
